Hampshire getaway.

In February and March I had the pleasure of building this rustic retreat in Hampshire. The property owners wanted a special place to get away from the chaos of everyday life. Their private lake in the middle of 200 plus acres was a tranquil place to spend about four weeks building.

The structure was 12×14 with a 6×12 covered front porch. Reclaimed windows provide plenty of light and the elevated height provided an amazing view. The building was clad in western red cedar and roofed with galvalume.

To get there from my house I took the four lane to the two lane to one and a half lane to the gravel road to the dirt road to the no road! But that is part of what made it all so fun, that and wonderful clients who did such a great job of describing their vision for the project.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss how I can help create a magical space on your property. Servicing Maury County and beyond.

New name, new website, same us.

It’s time for a change. I came up with the name MaxNashville LLC over a decade ago when I was primarily engaged in real estate development in Nashville. I thought it to be an exceedingly clever mashup of my name and hometown. I kept the name as I was building houses on speculation in Monteagle and even for a while with my business in Columbia. But now I feel like it is not all all representative of what I am doing, and so I now present:

This change captures both the type of projects I am now pursuing, as well as where I am operating. It has been fun to come up with the new name and logo, as well as construct this website. My LLC still exists as a legal entity and it is still the name my contractor’s license is under. It was much easier to just register this new name with the state than switch everything over. My tolerance for paperwork is low.

Moving forward our primary focus will be on “magical spaces” – treehouses, playhouses, she sheds, man caves, bunkies, and other special places where wonderful memories can be created.
